About the Role
We are looking for HGV Class 1 or Class 2 drivers to work on a full-time basis for days on our waste water contract. Driving a vacuum tanker, the work incorporates tankering various non-hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the regions. You will be provided with a phone and an app to outline the jobs that have been assigned to you by the Operations Supervisor. Due to the nature of the role, a full HGV Class 1 or Class 2 UK drivers licence with CPC and an up-to-date digi tachograph card are required.

Working out of Budds Farm Depot - Southampton - Covering the Hampshire Region
Hours
4 days on 4 days off - 6am to 6pm
Salary
£17 per hour
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV-mounted vacuum and tankers for drainage and waste management tasks.
- Independently manage job sites, ensuring safe practices and high-quality work.
- Communicate professionally with customers.
- Accurately complete job reports and system updates.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting any faults promptly.
- Maintain high health and safety standards, including proper PPE use and regulatory compliance.
Experience and Qualifications
- HGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence.
- Valid in-date CPC and up-to-date tac card.

Full training / PPE / use of company equipment will be provided to ensure all drainage engineers have the right tools, competency, and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes’ high standard of operation regardless of background or previous experience.
