The role:
As a Graphic Design Supervisor, you will lead the Graphics Studio within the RAF Wyton Media Centre, overseeing a small team and ensuring the delivery of high‐quality visual design products for a range of defence‐related clients. Your leadership will help ensure smooth workflow, compliance with MOD policies and the continued high standard of creative output delivered by the Graphics team.
You will manage daily design tasks, supervise graphic designers, maintain records, and collaborate with Reprographic and Photographic Supervisors and station workshops to deliver accurate, impactful visual content. This is a key creative leadership role in a unique operational environment.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Supervise the day‐to‐day running of the Graphics Studio, ensuring compliance with MOD policies and procedures.
- Lead and support a team of graphic design personnel, providing guidance and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Monitor, distribute and oversee graphics tasks to meet operational and client deadlines.
- Update and maintain accurate section records and documentation.
- Liaise closely with Reprographic and Photographic Supervisors, as well as station workshops, to support cross‐functional media production.
This is a full‐time, permanent, onsite role working 35 hours per week based at RAF Wyton, Cambridgeshire.
Essential experience:
- Competent in Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- High level of organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Previous experience working within a design studio.
- Experience in leading or supervising a team (essential, as role manages a team of four).
Qualifications:
- HND in Graphic Design or equivalent.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
