Lead complex construction projects that protect national security. At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Project Manager - Construction at our Rosyth site.
The role:
- Lead the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction programmes within our nuclear and marine environments.
- Lead integrated project teams to deliver complex, safety‑critical construction and engineering projects.
- Plan and control project scope, schedule, cost, risk, and change across the full project lifecycle.
- Own customer and stakeholder relationships as the primary point of contact.
- Manage project finances, resources, subcontractors, and supply chain partners.
- Provide clear leadership, assurance, coaching, and escalation to ensure safe, high‑quality delivery.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience:
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex engineering or infrastructure projects in regulated environments.
- Strong capability across core project management disciplines including planning, cost, risk, and change control.
- Full lifecycle project delivery experience from initiation to close‑out.
- Experience working with construction or engineering contracts (experience with NEC contracts is advantageous).
- Experience within marine, nuclear, or large‑scale construction environments would be beneficial.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience in construction, engineering, surveying, or a related discipline.
- Project Management certification or professional qualification (such as PMQ or equivalent) is desirable.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (for example the Chartered Institute of Building) is advantageous.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
