The role:

As an Electrical Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will ensure all maintenance, rectification, and preparation tasks on the authority’s assets are carried out safely, efficiently, and under proper supervision by authorised personnel.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide essential flexibility by supporting flying operations during peak periods of the day.
  • Undertake Out-of-Phase (OOP) maintenance tasks during aircraft turnarounds to ensure operational readiness.
  • Assist aircrew with crew-in rectification tasks as required.
  • Make decisions and take actions strictly within the scope of authorised responsibilities, governed by trade, experience, and competence.

This role is full time working 36 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Valley, Wales.

Essential experience of the Electrical Supervisor:

  • Proven experience at supervisor level, fully competent with all required authorities in place.

Qualifications for the Electrical Supervisor:

  • Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or a military equivalent apprenticeship/qualification.
  • Minimum academic requirement: City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance, or an equivalent qualification.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
