The role is full time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and is based on site at Rosyth, Fife.

As a Safety Health Environmental Protection Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a key role in strengthening safety, environmental and compliance standards across our facilities operations. You’ll provide expert guidance to our onsite Facilities team, carrying out audits, inspections and gap analyses to ensure legal and regulatory compliance is consistently achieved and continuously improved.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Providing expert safety, health and environmental advice to the Facilities team and wider stakeholders
  • Conducting planned audits and inspections, identifying compliance gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Producing clear, actionable reports with corrective actions following audits and inspections
  • Monitoring contractor activities, ensuring compliance with legal, safety and environmental standards
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for Construction Design and Management, ensuring requirements are embedded in all relevant activities

Essential experience:

  • Proven knowledge of facilities management and building compliance, including fire safety, asbestos, Legionella, F-Gas and lifting regulations
  • Demonstrated experience carrying out governance audits and inspections
  • Experience working within a large, complex or highly regulated organisation
  • Ability to create high-quality presentations to communicate insights and findings
  • Confidence presenting to a professional and diverse audience

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement)
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • Additional safety, environmental or facilities-related qualifications would be advantageous

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
