The role:
As a Project Planner, you’ll be at the heart of major, technically complex programmes, supporting a diverse portfolio of projects in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your planning expertise where it truly matters — helping to deliver projects that underpin national security, energy resilience and critical infrastructure.
Day-to-day you’ll be required to:
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules across Levels 1–3, with alignment to Level 4–5 schedules
- Monitor and update schedules, producing performance metrics such as critical path, float and schedule impact analysis
- Create and manage robust project structures, including Work Breakdown Structures and resource and cost-loaded plans
- Integrate planning data with financial and materials systems to support informed decision‑making
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, commercial and project teams to support successful delivery
Essential experience of the Project Planner:
- Experience developing and maintaining integrated project schedules within complex project environments
- Strong understanding of network planning and schedule analysis techniques
- Experience producing resource- and cost-loaded schedules
- Ability to provide meaningful schedule performance metrics and insights
- Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications for the Project Planner:
- A degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project or similar planning tools
- Full project lifecycle experience
- Quantitative risk analysis experience is advantageous
- Marine, nuclear or large‑scale construction experience is desirable
