The role involves taking ownership of the delivery of major infrastructure, construction and refurbishment projects within a highly regulated and technically complex environment. This is an exciting opportunity to lead projects that directly support critical defence infrastructure while developing your career within one of the UK's leading engineering organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the end‑to‑end delivery of construction, infrastructure and refurbishment projects from planning through to completion.
- Managing site activities, subcontractors, resources, materials and quality assurance processes.
- Establishing project governance, including reporting, planning, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
- Acting as the primary interface between clients, consultants, contractors and internal delivery teams.
- Driving a strong safety‑first culture while ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality requirements.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects across the full project lifecycle.
- Strong experience managing site‑based construction activities, subcontractors and quality control processes.
- Experience working within complex or regulated environments with a focus on governance, risk management and reporting.
- Demonstrable experience managing project budgets, schedules and commercial performance, including contract administration using NEC, JCT or FIDIC contracts.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme certification.
- Institution of Occupational Safety and Health qualification or equivalent health and safety certification.
- Recognised Project Management qualification such as Association for Project Management or equivalent.
- Membership of a relevant professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Building, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, or working towards professional membership is desirable.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
