Lead High Performing Teams Building Critical Naval Infrastructure

The role
As a Pipe Fitter Production Supervisor, you will lead and inspire a team of skilled tradespeople, ensuring the safe, efficient delivery of critical shipbuilding and engineering work. This is a hands‑on leadership role where your decisions directly impact safety, performance, and programme success.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities:
- Leading and motivating teams to safely deliver defined packages of pipe fitting and production work
- Managing resources to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets across projects
- Ensuring safe systems of work and maintaining a compliant, secure working environment
- Setting daily production targets and monitoring performance to drive continuous improvement
- Taking ownership of operational activity, ensuring attendance, standards, and behaviours are consistently met
This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday, and is based on‑site at Rosyth.
Essential experience:
- Demonstrating strong experience in pipe fitting, including installation of pumps, valves, pipework, and associated marine systems
- Reading and interpreting technical installation drawings and engineering specifications
- Using digital tools such as Microsoft Office to support reporting and planning
- Applying practical knowledge of production environments within engineering, marine, or heavy industry settings
- Bringing proven experience overseeing or guiding teams in a production or workshop environment
Qualifications:
- Time‑served pipe fitting apprenticeship or equivalent with significant recent, relevant experience
- ONC or HNC in an engineering discipline is desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
