The role:

  • As a Senior Digital Engineer, you’ll help deliver advanced digital engineering and computer-aided design solutions that support some of the UK's most critical infrastructure programmes.
  • This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of digital transformation, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams while helping to improve how complex projects are designed, managed and delivered.
  • Day-to-day, you’ll take a leading role in digital engineering delivery, ensuring high-quality information management, robust data processes and effective digital collaboration across complex engineering programmes.
  • You'll influence standards, support the wider engineering community and contribute to innovative solutions that make a real difference to national infrastructure and security.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing digital engineering data environments, including Autodesk Vault systems.
  • Delivering high-quality asset data, digital models and engineering information outputs across projects.
  • Implementing digital engineering standards, clash detection processes and design coordination rules.
  • Reviewing and approving models, drawings and deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Supporting project teams, contributing to bids and tenders, and providing technical guidance to digital engineering colleagues.

Essential experience:

  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex 3D computer-aided design projects.
  • Strong data management and information governance experience within engineering environments.
  • Experience developing and maintaining engineering procedures, standards and processes.
  • Proven expertise using Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault.
  • Experience working within highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, defence, aerospace or similarly complex industries.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified by experience with significant digital engineering and computer-aided design expertise.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
