The role:

As a Driver, you’ll take on a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll provide essential transport services, driving a variety of military and civilian vehicles on and off road. This is your opportunity to support military operations and make a real impact while developing your skills in a dynamic environment.

Day to day, you’ll be:

  • Driving military personnel and equipment around Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME) Chatham sites, mainly via coach.
  • Transporting personnel to locations across the UK on some occasions.
  • Driving military and commercial vehicles that you are trained to operate.
  • Carrying out standard maintenance on a wide range of military vehicles (training provided).
  • Recording and maintaining training compliance.

This role is full time, working 37 hours per week, and is based on site at Brompton Barracks, Chatham.

Essential experience:

  • Customer focused with the ability to build positive working relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Coach / D licence is essential.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
