The role:
- As a Supportability Engineer, you’ll be part of a specialist engineering team delivering Integrated Logistics Support across submarine programmes central to the UK’s national security.
- This is a role with real purpose - combining technical challenge, strategic impact and continuous development.
- Day-to-day, you’ll build upon proven communication skills to convey complex technical details to a wide range of stakeholders developing domain knowledge to resolve problems and support the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing reliability, maintainability and availability analysis for complex systems and assets.
- Generating technical claims and structured evidence to support reliability and maintainability performance predictions.
- Influencing system and platform design using reliability modelling to improve in‑service support and sustainability.
- Communicating complex engineering information clearly to a wide range of technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Contributing to working groups and stakeholder forums to support Availability, Reliability and Maintainability activities.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience:
- Engineering knowledge with experience in complex or safety‑critical environments.
- Ability to simplify complex technical problems into clear, actionable outputs.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence key stakeholders.
- Capability to work autonomously with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.

Qualifications:
- A STEM‑related qualification or equivalent experience (professional experience in lieu of formal education will be considered).
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
