At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together. If you join us, you can play your part as a Health and Safety Training Assistant based across our sites in Leicester and Bristol.
The Role:
- Deliver high-quality health, safety and environmental training sessions across multiple locations.
- Review and update training materials to align with current legislation and company standards.
- Develop engaging digital learning packages for internal training platforms.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external bodies such as IOSH and ECITB.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure documentation remains up to date.
This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically 08:00 to 16:00, with flexible and hybrid working available, although regular onsite presence is required. The role includes travel to customer sites across the Midlands and South-West to deliver training.
Essential experience:
- Demonstrating experience delivering face-to-face and/or virtual training sessions.
- Applying strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Using clear communication and presentation skills to engage diverse audiences.
- Collaborating effectively with stakeholders across different teams and locations.
- Managing and updating training materials in a structured and organised way.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 (or equivalent) accredited Health and Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Safety).
- Recognised training or teaching qualification from an accredited body.
- Minimum Tech IOSH membership (or working towards) with active CPD.
- Experience delivering IOSH training (such as Managing Safely) is advantageous.
- First-Aid Trainer or Mental Health First-Aid England Trainer qualifications advantageous.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain UK - Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
