Overview
In this role, you will lead regional payroll operations within the Global Payroll COE to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll across the EMEA countries. You will translate global policies into regional execution, drive process improvements, and manage vendor relationships to deliver a high-quality payroll service and a positive employee experience across languages and time zones. You will partner with cross-functional teams to support system implementations, data quality, and regulatory compliance while maintaining strong control and audit readiness.

Responsibilities
- Lead EMEA payroll operations as part of the Global Payroll COE, aligning regional execution with global strategy and governance
- Oversee accurate, timely, compliant payroll processing across in-scope countries with adherence to processes, systems, controls, and approvals
- Translate Global Payroll COE policies and governance into regional execution, including country-specific compliance activities
- Identify regional opportunities for process, control, and service delivery improvements and drive automation and standardization
- Manage regional payroll vendor relationships, monitor performance, support SLAs, and escalate risks
- Collaborate with Global Payroll COE, HR systems, HR operations, Finance, Legal, Tax, Benefits, regional leaders and providers on payroll systems, data quality, and cross-functional processes
- Support audit readiness by maintaining regional control evidence and coordinating responses to requests
- Lead regional payroll service delivery with clear communication across languages and time zones
- Support enterprise initiatives such as system implementations, payroll integrations, acquisitions, and regional operating model changes
- Maintain data privacy and security aligned with regulatory requirements and company expectations
- Maintain clarity, analytical judgment, and multi-priority management in a fast-paced, multi-country environment
Key requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive payroll experience
- Experience leading payroll operations across multiple countries or regions
- Strong knowledge of EMEA payroll laws, tax, social security, pensions, and country-specific practices
- Experience with payroll systems and outsourced providers; ADP Celergo or similar platforms preferred
- Experience supporting payroll controls, audits, reconciliations, and vendor governance
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to influence partners and support employees across countries and cultures
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
