We are looking for a Department Manager to oversee daily operations of Goods In & put‑away for Hardware and Chemical commodities at our Mirfield warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of Goods In & put‑away across Hardware and Chemical commodities.
- Manage department throughput and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure efficient workflow, optimal utilisation of resources, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Communicate team goals and expectations, fostering a collaborative environment and maintaining open lines of communication with the team.
- Evaluate and manage employee performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Handle escalations and ensure prompt resolution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of two years of demonstrable experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse team management.
- Experience monitoring throughput, managing SLAs, and handling escalations.
- Strong enthusiasm for managing and developing a team, ensuring they deliver results.
