Wesbell is seeking a CNC Operator for our Milverton Ontario facility for the afternoon shift. This position is responsible for the operation of CNC Beam Line and Angle Line, including some fitting & fabrication of custom structural steel. It requires the ability to program/enter instructions and calculate dimensions for steel parts to be made. The person would be responsible to verify conformance and quality of pieces and deliver product in a safe, timely, and quality manner.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Able to work the afternoon shift: Monday – Thursday 3 pm – 1 am OR Monday – Friday 3 PM – 11 PM
- Maintain a clean & safe environment
- The ability to follow drawings and specific layouts
- Loading steel in feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
- Weld Fabricated Steel
- Operate job related equipment, including CNC as well as troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
- Resolve technical issues and materials problems with the fabrication manager as required
Education (Theoretical Training):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Trade / Certification training in Steel or Shop Work as an asset
Job Requirements & Experience:
- Strong Work ethic & Teachable attitude
- High Degree of attention required to prevent injury and promote a safe work environment
- A background in Beam Line operation / CNC Machinery
- A background in Steel Members and an ability to read and interpret drawings
- Position requires standing up to 8+ hours per day & lifting up to 50lbs at times
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good math, language and reading skills
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking skills, and a Professional team-player
- Reliable transportation to Milverton, ON
