This role is based in our office in Newcastle, with a minimum of 3 days in the office required.
Key responsibilities:- Team leadership
- Line manage the marketing team, ensuring effective performance, planning and allocation of work and tasks, and day-to-day people management.
- Support the ongoing development of the marketing team through 121s, Personal Development Reviews and individual development plans.
- Stay current with marketing trends, tools and best practice, sharing relevant knowledge with the team.
- Encourage collaborative working across the marketing team and with the wider business.
- Client accounts
- Act as the initial main point of contact for all marketing contracts, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Develop individual marketing strategies and plans for key clients, and plan, pitch and obtain client buy-in for these.
- Work closely with the design and development teams on projects, bringing a marketing perspective to ensure campaigns and briefs meet client and business objectives.
- Implement and monitor client contracts and team time spent on each client and deliverable.
- Make decisions and guide the marketing team on client marketing activity across multiple channels.
- Brand and strategy
- Understand and follow JUMP's business strategy, ensuring marketing activity supports it.
- Understand business goals for both JUMP and key clients, translating these into marketing actions, strategies and plans.
- Develop JUMP's marketing strategy and deliver awareness-raising and converting activity within the marketplace.
- Budget and performance
- Own and manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective, accountable allocation of spend across activity and channels.
- Set and own KPIs and targets for the marketing team and campaigns, tracking and reporting on performance against these.
- Accountable for developing and implementing JUMP's annual marketing calendar and key marketing projects, on time and within budget.
- Senior Management Team and business development
- Be part of the Senior Management Team, contributing to wider business decisions and direction.
- Produce monthly Senior Management Team reports on marketing performance, KPIs and new business.
- Support with proposal writing for JUMP new business.
- Marketing activity delivery
- Content creation and delivery across a range of online and offline channels.
- Review all work produced by the marketing team.
