We are actively seeking a skilled Mobile Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in Portsmouth.
In this role you will ensure the seamless operation and meticulous maintenance of our diverse fleet, providing essential on-site support to our valued customers and upholding Wernick Hire’s reputation for operational excellence and client satisfaction.
About The Role
As a Mobile Service Engineer you will play an instrumental role in maintaining the operational integrity of our fleet and guaranteeing exceptional customer satisfaction.
The position is client‑facing and requires a proactive, resourceful professional with strong mechanical and electrical skills, plumbing expertise and a commitment to high‑quality service.
Your duties will include performing mechanical and electrical repairs, plumbing fixes, joinery work, on‑site installations and dismantles (e. g., erecting and dismantling staircases), diagnosing faults, completing repairs efficiently and providing expert advice during call‑outs.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain the operational integrity of the fleet of modular buildings and sites accommodation units.
- Provide on‑site support and troubleshooting for customers.
- Execute mechanical, electrical, plumbing and joinery repairs and installations.
- Perform safe, efficient dismantling and erection of structures such as staircases.
- Diagnose faults, complete repairs and advise customers, aiming for a \"fix it first time\" approach.
- Manage multiple tasks independently while collaborating with the wider team.
- Required Criteria
- Experience in a similar role.
- Excellent customer service attitude.
- Proficiency in plumbing, joinery and electrics.
- Full driving licence.
