Location: Unit 2, Albion Road, Dartford
Wernick Power Solutions, part of the Wernick Group, is a nationally‑based provider of temporary power generation solutions. We are seeking an Advanced Generator Service Engineer to become a cornerstone of our operations.
About the Role
As a key member of the Service team, you will maintain peak operational functionality and presentation of our fleet of generators, diesel tanks, distribution systems, cabling, and ancillary equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to and promote SHEQ group standards.
- Maintain optimum, safe productivity levels according to workload.
- Manage all transactional elements such as breakdowns, services, PDIs, damage determination and timesheets.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Provide safety observations for unsafe practices in the depot or on customer sites.
- Keep overdue servicing below 6 % of the fleet in the designated area.
- Maintain up‑to‑date training and competencies via the PDP skills matrix.
- Support the Depot and Service Manager with tasks beyond the normal job role.
- Maintain the company vehicle in good condition and stocked with required tools, oils, consumables and safety equipment.
- Seek time for self‑development through training platforms and structured sessions.
- Provide support for colleagues as required.
- Uphold depot and engineering standards.
Essential Criteria
- Relevant mechanical or electrical skills and experience for the equipment scope.
- Proficient in maintenance routines (field or depot).
- In‑depth fault diagnosis, dismantling, repair and testing of diesel‑driven generators.
- Mandatory experience working with generator engines.
- Full driving licence and a clean, tidy appearance.
Additional Criteria
- NVQ or other recognised professional qualification (desired).
- Experience in multiple technical disciplines, e.g., mechanical and electrical.
- Hands‑on experience in service, maintenance, installation and repair of diesel‑driven generators.
