Overview
The Area Business Manager is responsible for achieving sales and managing the installed base of Werfen products within a designated geographic territory. This includes managing the expense budget, all assigned Werfen equipment, and the P&L for the area. The role involves direct management of sales and technical staff, providing market intelligence, and sales forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and train account managers and technical sales representatives in the territory.
- Plan and organize work activities, monitor productivity, and provide coaching and mentoring.
- Implement sales strategies, deploy field staff to optimize business growth, and manage costs.
- Prepare forecasts and reports for headquarters.
- Negotiate with key accounts and promote Werfen products and services.
- Coordinate trade shows and sales meetings, including national events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the VP of Sales.
- Manage sales to key integrated delivery networks.
