The NPD Coordinator facilitates branded and own label product development from market research to product launch stage. This role is the focal point for effective communication on key product change projects with production sites and UK commercial / brand teams, along each stage of the NPD process. The NPD Coordinator identifies future food trends for consideration in the innovation pipeline, manages sustainability and packaging projects and is critical to client satisfaction and business growth. The NPD Coordinator works collaboratively with different stakeholders to bring development projects to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Point of contact and process management between production sites and commercial / brand team regarding project status, actions, next steps and timelines.
- Conduct benchmarking and market research to support brand and Own label EPD & NPD projects.
- Manage sustainability projects and reporting mechanisms, internally and externally.
- Commodity reporting.
- OPRL audit submissions.
- Management of HFSS on Syndigo and retailer portals.
- Management of master packaging data and organization of annual review.
- Manage artwork review process between agency and site for brand and Own label inner pack and outer cases / SRP, ensuring delivery in line with project target time-line.
- Coordinate samples with production site to support EDP and NPD for both brand and OL.
- Participate in regular store visits to check new recipes or products.
- Ensure overview of market dynamics and emerging trends.
- Complete market research for any NPD lines vs competitor products on the market to allow correct positioning of product offer.
