Position Highlights
The Organizational Development Team influences behavioral change and supports leaders, teams, and the overall organization. This role partners closely with Human Resources, Enterprise Project Management, Process Excellence, and clients throughout the organization. The Advisor I serves as an internal advisor for organizational development and continuous improvement initiatives to align workforce and key business initiatives. Provides support for developing people, systems, work processes and work environment to drive business results. Provides planning, facilitation, and consulting services to teams and individuals in designing and implementing strategies for solving complex organizational challenges. Uses Organizational Development methodology, procedures, and tools to implement solutions, and continuously improve strategies, structures and systems for the Center.
Responsibilities
- Needs Assessment and Diagnosis: Diagnoses client development needs and leader or team dynamic opportunities for improvement through a variety of methodologies such as interviews, focus groups, and surveys. Identifies gaps between clients' current and desired future state.
- Intervention Design and Facilitation: Designs, updates, and facilitates sessions, programs, and retreats to meet client needs and positively impact key department goals. Develops and disseminates assessments and conducts quantitative/qualitative data analysis to determine program's impact. Develops and implements evidence‑based interventions to meet client and organizational goals. Assesses intervention effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Researches and leverages industry best practices to propose enhancements/changes to current OD programs.
- Team Member Engagement Survey Support: Partners with leaders to maximize the benefit of their engagement survey results by providing individualized guidance around data interpretation, action planning, and solution implementation.
- Change Management: Provides change management support to clients for organization‑wide initiatives, including assessing readiness and risk, communication planning, and addressing resistance. Strategically applies change management processes and tools to address gaps in organizational culture.
- Team Dynamics: Serves as an internal advisor for leaders navigating team dynamics, resolving conflict, and responding to changes in group norms and team culture. Collaborates with leaders to design customized solutions for increasing engagement and productivity in their departments and/or on cross‑functional teams. This includes, but is not limited to, team building sessions, change management, strategic planning, performance improvement, and conflict resolution.
- Behavioral Assessments: Supports team assessments (e.g., StrengthsFinder, DiSC). Partners to interpret results and apply results for team interventions.
Credentials and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, Leadership, Human Resources or other related field required.
- 5 years of commensurate experience in Organizational Development or a related field or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience.
- Proven ability to consult with clients to diagnose root causes and engage in collaborative problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability to execute effectively with ambiguity, supporting multiple projects, and prioritizing work in a continually changing environment.
