Position: Bank Mobile Research Nurse – Bolton & Manchester – Paediatric Nurse
Job Type: Zero Hour Casual Contract
Hourly Rate and Compensation: £30 to £35 per hour, inclusive of travel time and patient interaction compensation. Mileage reimbursement and travel expense reimbursement available.
Work Location: Bolton & Manchester area.
Job Overview: As a Mobile Research Nurse, you will ensure the successful execution of research studies by administering investigational medications/products, conducting patient assessments, collecting vital information, and adhering to study protocols with accuracy and ethics. Your nursing care and supportive role maintain compliance and safeguard study participants.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the delivery of high-quality clinical care to participants, ensuring compliance with each study’s protocol.
- Administer investigational medications/products as needed and perform patient assessments to determine side effects, notifying the Principal Investigator of findings/issues.
- Perform medical tests outlined in the protocol, including vital signs, specimen collection, electrocardiograms, and process and ship specimens per protocol.
- Provide patient education and medical information to study patients ensuring understanding of proper medication dosage, administration, and disease treatment.
- Adhere to clinical research policies to ensure ethical conduct and protect vulnerable populations.
- Communicate effectively, fostering open and trusting relationships.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Nurse Licensure.
- CH‑GCP Certificate.
- Graduate from an accredited BSN or Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma.
- Minimum 2 years of post‑qualification acute care experience.
- Clinical research experience desirable.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience and knowledge of working in clinical research trials with ICH‑GCP (Good Clinical Practice) – training can be provided.
- Good basic IT skills, using mobile devices and Microsoft systems.
- Training in handling and transport of hazardous substances – training can be provided.
- A flexible schedule is essential.
- Unencumbered driver’s licence with reliable car.
