The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for field-based roles, primarily Sales Assistants and Bakery staff, across the Wenzel’s estate. Working closely with Line Managers and the Sales Team, you will play a key role in attracting, identifying, and hiring talented individuals who will deliver excellent customer service across our bakery and retail shops. Based at Head Office, you will manage recruitment activity through our ATS system, support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, and ensure all new hire documentation and compliance checks are completed before employees join the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for field-based roles across the Wenzel’s estate.
- Create and publish engaging job adverts across recruitment platforms.
- Manage and maintain the ATS system, ensuring all candidate records are accurate and up to date.
- Screen applications and shortlist candidates against role requirements.
- Conduct telephone, virtual, and in-person interviews for Sales Assistant roles.
- Work closely with Area Managers to understand regional hiring needs and support recruitment planning.
- Partner with the Sales Team to ensure recruitment supports operational demands.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-volume retail roles.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Collect and verify Right to Work documentation in line with UK employment legislation.
- Collate and process new hire documentation, ensuring all compliance checks are completed prior to start dates.
- Add new employees to the HR system, ensuring all personal and employment information is accurately recorded.
- Support the onboarding process by coordinating with hiring managers to ensure new starters are ready to join their teams.
- Track recruitment activity and report on hiring progress to the Head of People.
- Support initiatives to promote Wenzel’s employer brand and attract talent.

- Previous recruitment experience, ideally within retail or high-volume hiring environments.
- Experience managing the end-to-end recruitment process.
- Confident conducting candidate screening and interviews.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HR systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously.
- Understanding of Right to Work compliance and onboarding documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with Area Managers and operational teams.
