We’re now looking for a reliable and detail-focused Stores Person to join our Head Office team and play a vital role in keeping our operation running smoothly.
The Role
As a Stores Team Member, you’ll ensure stock is received, stored, controlled, and issued accurately and safely. You’ll help maintain a clean, compliant, and well-organised stores and yard environment while supporting stock control and ordering activities. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being active, organised, and part of a busy operational team.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and check deliveries for quantity, condition, temperature, and accuracy against paperwork
- Accurately record goods in using company systems
- Maintain clean and tidy site, inside and out
- Store stock safely using correct stacking, labelling, and location controls
- Pick and issue stock correctly and efficiently
- Carry out regular stock checks, cycle counts, and support full stock takes
- Investigate discrepancies and report variances
- Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages or trends
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the stores, warehouse, and yard
- Manage pallets, waste, recycling, and external yard safety
- Safely load and unload vehicles when required
- Operate MHE/FLT equipment (subject to training and authorisation)
- Follow all health and safety procedures including PPE and safe manual handling
- Complete required training and support wider operational needs when necessary
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a stores, warehouse, or stock control environment (desirable)
- Detail-oriented with strong counting and record-keeping accuracy
- Well organised and able to maintain orderly stock control
- Confident using basic systems for goods in and stock management
- A strong communicator who works well with drivers and site teams
- Health and safety conscious, with good manual handling awareness
- Physically capable of lifting, moving stock, and working in a yard environment
- Proactive, positive, and committed to maintaining high standards
- An FLT licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach) is desirable, or willingness to be trained if required.
