Location: Field-based – covering 110 Wenzel’s sites across the region

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week (8.5-hour shifts, 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, Monday–Sunday)

About Us: Wenzel’s the Bakers is a long-established, family-run bakery brand with over 110 stores across the UK. We pride ourselves on delivering quality products and exceptional customer service. We’re now looking for a skilled Coffee Engineer to join our technical team, supporting our coffee operations across all Wenzel’s sites.

The Role: As a Coffee Machine Service Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our coffee equipment operates to the highest standards. You’ll be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of bean-to-cup coffee machines across our network of stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and repair coffee machines across Wenzel’s retail locations
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive breakdowns
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults efficiently and accurately
  • Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Manage van stock levels and ensure spare parts availability
  • Work to an allocated service route and liaise effectively with store teams
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and company procedures

About You: We’re looking for someone with a strong electrical background and experience working on commercial coffee machines. A proactive problem-solver who enjoys working independently and delivering a high standard of customer service.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in servicing and maintaining bean-to-cup coffee machines
  • Proven electrical skills (both 3-phase and single-phase systems)
  • Basic mechanical and fault-finding skills
  • PSSR trained (Pressure Systems Safety Regulations)
  • Experience working with brands such as La Cimbali, Franke, or WMF is highly desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
