Pay & hours
Rate: ÂŁ12.71 per hour. Working week: 39 hours over 5 days (Monday to Sunday).
Flexible working hours may be discussed to accommodate needs where possible.
Job Role
As a Shop Supervisor you will work with the team preparing fresh ingredients and producing sandwiches, baguettes and other food products in line with our Company standards, while providing excellent customer service and selling high quality fresh food. The successful candidate will be trained to Wenzel’s Company standards and be eligible for future progression.
Responsibilities include assisting the Shop Manager with day-to-day store operations, supervising the team, driving sales, controlling costs and delivering profit, and developing the shop team to build a loyal customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
- Receive and check daily deliveries.
- Assist with branch stock and produce management.
- Maintain shop displays.
- Demonstrate knowledge of products.
- Prepare food in line with specifications.
- Quality control of food and produce.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.
- Work efficiently within a team.
- Cash handling and till operation.
- Open or close the shop when required.
- Run shifts at various times during the week.
- Drive sales and minimise wastage.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment at supervisory level is required.
- Experience in food production is advantageous but not essential; full ongoing training provided.
