Wentworth Technical Services (WTS) is a specialist provider of structural testing, investigation, strengthening and hydraulic engineering solutions. Operating across London and the Home Counties, we deliver a wide range of complex projects for clients in the construction and infrastructure sectors. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Site Technician to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on varied and technically challenging projects while developing your skills within a supportive and experienced team.
As a Site Technician, you will play a key role in delivering on-site testing, surveys and inspections using a range of specialist equipment and techniques. You will be supported by experienced senior technicians, with ongoing training and development to help you progress within the business.
- Carry out on-site testing, inspections and surveys across a variety of projects.
- Undertake structural and geotechnical testing, including:
- Plate bearing (CBR) testing and DCP testing
- Pull-out testing of bolts and fixings
- Load capacity testing
- Operate specialist equipment such as:
- GPR and ferro-scanning systems
- 3D point cloud scanning equipment
- Total stations and other survey tools
- Accurately record site data using tablets and logbooks.
- Assist in the planning and efficient delivery of site works to meet client requirements.
Minimum 2–3 years’ site-based experience (construction, testing or surveying).
Full UK manual driving licence.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience in structural or geotechnical testing.
Familiarity with GPR, scanning or survey equipment.
CSCS card (can be provided if required).
