We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Team Leader Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional support to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior care, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents in daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and mobility.
- Maintain accurate care plans and documentation to ensure personalised care for each resident.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to provide updates on resident well-being.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a supportive environment.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss resident needs and care strategies.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care environment at all times.
- Administrating medication.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is highly desirable.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for this role.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining care plans and documentation is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with residents and their families effectively.
