About the role: The Production Systems Engineer is responsible for integrating production planning, manufacturing engineering and quality systems to ensure products are delivered in line with Quality, Cost and Delivery targets. The role supports the full manufacturing lifecycle – from planning and process development through to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Specific duties will include:
- Production planning & coordination
- Create and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery targets
- Monitor production progress and address delays, constraints or bottlenecks
- Liaise with Production, Purchasing and Engineering to ensure material and resource availability
- Provide day to day engineering support to the shop floor
- Produce and maintain process documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts and SOPs.
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce waste, costs and lead times.
Desirables of the successful Maintenance Engineer:
- Ideally be appreciate trained within an Engineering environment.
- Having machining knowledge in order to understand the businesses process manufacturing routes.
- Be able to use Lean & Quality tools such as PFMEA, Root cause analysis, 5s and Continuous Improvement.
In return you will work a standard day shift pattern with an early finish on Fridays (1:00pm). A starting salary of £45,000+ DOE, Company pension 5%, Health care plan and additional company benefits.
