About the role:
Your primary focus within the role is to ensure the reliability, safe and efficient operations of all production equipment, including CNC machinery and facility infrastructure. You will support continuous production across the site by conducting all maintenance activities, troubleshooting machine faults, and implementing improvements to minimise downtime across the shop floor.
Specific duties will include:
- Carry out corrective maintenance, part replacement, and adjustments to maintain precision and repeatability.
- Monitor machine performance, patterns, and breakdown trends to minimise downtime.
- Support with process projects, machine upgrades, and tooling improvements.
- Work closely with production to identify root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and track spare parts.
- Manage contractors when on site and ensure that RAMs are in place.
- Carry out weekly fire alarm checks.
Desirables of the successful Maintenance Engineer:
- Experience of working within a precision engineering, machining, or similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience with CNC machinery.
- Experience in TPM, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement activities.
In return, you will work a standard day shift pattern with an early finish on Fridays (2:30pm). A starting salary of £40,000+ DOE, Company pension 5%, health care plan, and additional company benefits.
