We are seeking a skilled and reliable FLT /Overhead Crane Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing the loading and unloading of goods, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and the ability to handle materials safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods safely.
- Manage the movement of products within the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval.
- Maintain an organised warehouse environment, including proper storage of materials.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any repair needs.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Perform basic maths calculations for inventory management and stock control.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an FLT / Overhead Crane Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting.
