We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Logistics Supervisor to join a dynamic team. This pivotal role ensures the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics and supply chain functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily operations, coordinating shipments, and leading a team to meet delivery targets and customer expectations. Responsibilities * Oversee the day-to-day operations of the logistics department, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory management. * Supervise, train, and support logistics staff to maintain high performance and compliance with health and safety standards. * Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective shipment of goods. * Monitor KPIs, analyse logistics data, and implement improvements for efficiency and cost reduction. * Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, shipments, and deliveries. * Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to streamline processes and resolve issues. * Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and government legislation. Requirements * Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory role. * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. * Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). * Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and logistics best practices. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. * Flexibility to work shifts or extended hours if required. Preferred Qualifications * Degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. * Forklift certification or experience (if applicable). * Knowledge of ERP or WMS systems.
