We are looking for 1 person as an experienced Senior Night Carer.
This care posts is Part time nights. 9.15pm to 7.30am.
2 night shifts per week but may be asked to do overtime to cover sickness and holidays. On a rota basis to include some weekends. The post is ideally for somebody with experience of caring for the elderly, must be professional and have a very caring nature. It is essential to follow all company policy and procedures to ensure we safeguard our residents and provide person centred care.
The Senior carers roll ideally holds a level 2 or 3 NVQ or equivalent. This role includes, administering medication when needed. accessing out of hours GPs or the emergency services as required for any emergencies. delivering personal care, personal hygiene, dressing, feeding and other daily living tasks as needed. Monitoring and managing of health conditions for quality and person centred care. Reporting and documenting in care plans , review on a regular basis and support risk assessments as needed. Communicate well with other senior carers at handover. Follow policies and procedures to keep our residents safe when unwell. and perform other tasks as needed.
Supervise other carers on nights or bank staff to complete their duties.
The person needs to be of a caring and considerate nature, able to work with others as a team and be flexible in their approach. Honesty and reliability is a must for this post.
Update training will be given.
