Wentworth Club is one of the world’s finest private members Golf and Country Clubs, famous for its outstanding three Championship golf courses, in addition to a luxury Tennis & Health Club.

The Club is surrounded and entwined within the Wentworth Estate, one of the most prestigious private estates in the London suburbs where many of the world’s premier golfers have their home.

The Greenkeeping Purchasing Assistant will provide essential administrative and organisational support to the Greenkeeping Purchasing function, assisting with routine purchasing activities, deliveries, inventory administration and record keeping.

This role is integral to fostering communication, maintaining compliance, and supporting the department’s workforce.

Part-time 32 hours per week.

  • Key Responsbilities
  • Raise and process routine purchase orders
  • Receive and check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Support with monthly stock takes
  • Assist with ordering and issuing uniform items
  • Monitor first aid supplies for the department and replenish when needed
  • Provide administrative support where appropriate with external contractors
  • General administrative support for line manager

  • Able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders across the Club
  • Flexible and adaptable to the changing demands of the business.
  • Empathy for business activities and an appreciation of the commercial operations of a "Club"
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and forward-planning abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with strong proofreading skills for accuracy.
  • Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure, particularly when working to tight deadlines
  • Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in greenkeeping, agriculture or golf club admin environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point)
  • Experience producing key documents (e. g., accounts, minutes, and presentations)
  • Discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive, with a strong sense of initiative.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
