Wentworth Club is one of the world’s finest private members Golf and Country Clubs, famous for its outstanding three Championship golf courses, in addition to a luxury Tennis & Health Club. The Club is surrounded and entwined within the Wentworth Estate, one of the most prestigious private estates in the London suburbs where many of the world’s premier golfers have their home.
Job Purpose: Provide effective and proactive support to the Finance Team through the accurate management of all creditors and debtors ledgers. Part-time 16 hours per week, fixed-term contract 12 months.
Key Areas of Activity:
- Accounts Payable: Accurate allocation of PO’s to invoices and posting to the creditors ledger. Process weekly and ad-hoc supplier payment runs. Accurate allocation of bank payments to supplier invoices. Manage AP inbox. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries relating to invoices and payments in a timely manner. Monthly supplier statement reconciliations and review of aged creditors.
- Accounts Receivable: Maintain member accounts through daily and monthly reconciliations. Create and send monthly account statements to members. Create all member invoices. Assist in the collection of debts through monthly Direct Debit collections, ensuring relevant communication is made and necessary responses are followed up. Accurate allocation of cash and bank transfers received to member accounts. Assist in the monthly reviews of outstanding debt with Finance Manager /Finance Director. Assist in the annual renewal process ensuring correct billing allocation and invoicing of annual dues. Assist with weekly and monthly membership reports including but not limited to aged debt, member count, future payments etc.
Ability to work independently and use initiative. Demonstrate great teamwork. Flexible and adaptable to the changing demands of the business. Attention to detail and the ability to spot and correct errors. Previous experience in AP/AR role is essential. Self-motivated, well organised and pro-active individual. Ability to ensure processes and procedures are adhered to. Build good working relationships with suppliers and members. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to learn new systems quickly. Experience of Fourth Purchase to Pay would be desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
