The Role
As a Grade 2 Midday Supervisor, you will play a vital role in our pupils' daily lives, ensuring their lunchtime is safe, social, and supportive. You will:
- Supervise pupils during their midday break in dining areas, playgrounds, and classrooms.
- Be part of a team, coordinating with and supporting other midday supervisory assistants.
- Maintain a positive environment by upholding school policies on conduct and safety.
The person we are looking for would preferably
- Have experience working with children
- Be a strong communicator, able to interact effectively with pupils, staff, and visitors.
- Possess a broad knowledge of First Aid and an understanding of medical conditions like asthma or epilepsy.
- Show initiative in solving complex problems and supporting play.
- Empathise with pupils, modeling expected behaviours to demonstrate safe play and good manners.
- Be organised, with the ability to provide staff cover at short notice and assist with setting up or clearing the dining area.
There is potential for this role to increase with additional hours in Wraparound care (before and after school clubs) and cleaning cover if needed.
