Head of Affinity

We are working exclusively with a fast-growing, technology-led financial solutions business backed by a major international telecoms and media group. They are building out a new affinity and embedded insurance capability, initially across an existing group ecosystem, with significant scope to expand into third-party partnerships over time. This is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to shape the proposition, stand up new programmes, influence the operating model, and build a team as the business scales.

The Role

• You will lead the affinity insurance stream, owning the development and growth of embedded and affinity programmes across areas such as device protection, gadget insurance, extended warranty, home, travel, pet, and other consumer insurance products.
• This will include:
• Bringing existing group affinity programmes in-house as contracts mature
• Designing and launching new B2B2C / embedded insurance propositions
• Working with external technology platforms, insurers, brokers, TPAs and internal regulated entities
• Partnering with senior stakeholders across telecoms, media, financial services and technology businesses
• Building commercial models, business cases and partnership structures
• Driving performance across revenue, margin, attach rate, customer outcomes and long-term programme value
• Originating new external affinity partnership opportunities over time
• Helping build and shape the future team and operating model around the function

Ideal Background

• This would suit someone with strong experience in affinity, embedded insurance, partnerships, propositions or commercial development, ideally gained across one or more of:
• Telco / mobile / device protection
• Insurtech or embedded insurance platforms
• Warranty, gadget, travel, home, pet or assistance products
• B2B2C insurance partnerships
• Affinity insurers, brokers or specialist programme managers

Open to seeing profiles from OEM, retail, banking or wider consumer partnership environments. The right person will be commercial, product-minded and highly execution-focused. You’ll need to be comfortable operating independently, influencing senior stakeholders, and turning opportunities into live, scalable programmes.

London hybrid: 3 days per week in the office. Non-negotiable, this is a visible leadership role and strong presence is imperative. This is a truly rare opportunity to take ownership of a strategically important growth area within a well-backed business that is investing heavily in technology, insurance and embedded propositions. It would suit someone with 5+ more years experience in a partnerships/product function within a high-tech insurance business, or someone deep in affinity within a more traditional environment, who is looking to launch programmes in a more agile environment.
