Wenham Carter are partnered with a pre IPO cyber MGA who are looking to grow their underwriting team and bring on a Cyber Underwriter in London. This role will have a primary focus on the UK market, but will suit someone with ambitions to write business globally as they will have access to underwriting in the US and Middle East too. This firm are in the SME & Middle Market. This role will suit someone who has a motivation to grow with an earlier stage firm and someone who has a passion for tech and data-driven cyber insurance and risk management solutions.
Requirements:
- Assess and underwrite new business and renewal inquiries from the UK and US, ensuring profitability and adherence to underwriting guidelines.
- Efficiently manage underwriting referrals requiring manual review, ensuring timely resolution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cyber insurance producers across the UK, including regular in-person visits to broker offices.
- Collaborate with the Compliance team to onboard new brokers and address regulatory concerns.
- Represent the company at regional and national conferences to expand the distribution network.
- Support the Chief Underwriting Officer in monitoring risk portfolios and key management information (MI) to identify trends and ensure broker accountability.
- Handle daily internal and external correspondence, proactively updating stakeholders on progress and timelines.
