A compelling opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established and growing business in the engineering and specialist maintenance sector, driving growth across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally Europe. The Package
- Up to £65,000 basic salary
- Uncapped commission (realistic OTE £75,000–£85,000)
- Company car or car allowance + fuel card
- Private healthcare & pension
- 30 days holiday (including bank holidays) + option to buy more
- Hybrid working (2 days per week near Guildford)
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll take ownership of driving new business while developing existing client relationships. You will:
- Develop and execute a structured sales plan aligned to growth targets
- Identify, win and grow new business opportunities across key sectors
- Build long-term relationships through regular client engagement
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to close
- Work closely with operational and technical teams to ensure delivery excellence
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline reporting
- Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions and networking opportunities
About You
- Proven track record in a BDM or senior sales role
- Background in engineering, maintenance or a related technical sector
- Commercially astute, with strong negotiation skills
- Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to clients
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with a hands-on approach
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
