Have you successfully grown business with retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, Costco, B&M or The Range? If you know how to build profitable retail partnerships, negotiate commercial agreements and identify opportunities for growth, we'd love to hear from you. We're recruiting on behalf of a highly successful, privately-owned business with an outstanding reputation for introducing and growing internationally recognised consumer brands within the UK market. Their Mass Brands division manages a multi-million-pound portfolio with forecast growth of approximately 35% over the coming years, creating an exciting opportunity for an ambitious National Account Manager to play a key role in the next stage of their success.
The portfolio includes a number of well-known beauty and personal care brands sold through many of the UK's leading grocery, high street and mass retail customers. However, we're far more interested in your experience managing major retail accounts than the specific products you've sold. This is a commercially focused role where you'll use your retailer relationships, trading expertise and account management skills to drive sustainable, profitable growth across a portfolio of established brands.
The Role
- Manage and develop key grocery and mass retail accounts to deliver sales, margin and profitability targets.
- Build strong relationships with retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Costco, B&M, The Range and similar national accounts.
- Develop and deliver Joint Business Plans that create long-term commercial growth.
- Negotiate promotional activity, product listings and commercial agreements.
- Analyse sales performance, retailer data and market trends to identify opportunities and maximise profitability.
- Work closely with Brand, Finance and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing commercial performance.
- Prepare accurate forecasts, account plans and trading reviews.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve ranging, distribution and in-store performance.
About You
You'll already be working as a National Account Manager within FMCG, consumer goods, beauty, personal care or another fast-moving consumer sector. You'll have experience managing major UK retail customers and understand how businesses such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, Costco, B&M or The Range operate. You'll be commercially astute, analytical and confident negotiating at buyer level, with experience of Joint Business Planning, promotional planning and delivering profitable sales growth. Most importantly, you'll enjoy building relationships, spotting opportunities and making things happen.
What's on Offer
- Salary up to £65,000
- Performance bonus
- 37.5-hour working week
- Office-based, with regular customer visits
- Join a collaborative, entrepreneurial business with an excellent reputation and genuine long-term growth plans
