Duties and responsibilities
- Pick up items from warehouses or retail outlets.
- Assist loaders in loading items onto the van and ensuring that they are stacked properly and securely.
- Ensure that the van is secure at all times.
- Plan correct routes using GPS or a map.
- Drive the van to the destination in a safe correct manner and by following all road traffic rules.
- Assist with unloading items.
- Make sure that the item count is correct according to the delivery note.
- Take signatures on the delivery notes and inform the logistics department of any late deliveries or breakages.
- Perform general checks and schedule maintenance on the van.
- Any other duties defined or requested by the Supervisor or Production Manager.
- Abiding by health and safety when loading or unloading goods.
- Self‑motivated and hard working.
- Fully reliable.
