We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing team, covering the South West region. The role will primarily focus on boiler plant room replacements, heating upgrades, and decarbonisation projects across commercial and industrial sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge, project management experience, and the ability to manage projects from initial enquiry through to final handover.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical projects from start to finish, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. Projects will typically include:

  • Boiler room replacements
  • Low carbon and decarbonisation installations
  • Associated mechanical services works

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing projects from initial enquiry through to completion and handover
  • Attending site surveys and compiling quotations and project costings
  • Assisting with small works quotations and estimating as workload demands
  • Preparing RAMS, programmes of works, and all relevant project documentation
  • Procuring materials, equipment, subcontractors, and labour
  • Coordinating engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Managing health & safety compliance across all works
  • Monitoring project progress, budgets, and deadlines
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams
  • Compiling O&M manuals and handover documentation
  • Registering products, warranties, and certifications with relevant manufacturers and governing bodies
  • Ensuring projects are completed to a high standard and in line with industry regulations

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing commercial mechanical projects
  • Strong knowledge of boiler plant, HVAC, and heating systems
  • Experience with decarbonisation and renewable heating projects desirable
  • Good understanding of health & safety regulations and CDM requirements
  • Ability to produce technical quotations and project documentation
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Full UK driving licence
