The Trust wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and highly motivated Teacher of English to join a dynamic, experienced and deeply committed department at Wembley High Technology College and/or North Brent School. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about English and keen to contribute to a high‑performing team with a strong track record of success.

Future Opportunities

From September 2026, the Trust will launch the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), providing an exciting opportunity for English teachers to contribute to the development of a brand‑new, ambitious curriculum. This represents a significant platform for professional growth, curriculum design, and collaboration within a forward‑thinking educational environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be creative, well organised and committed to excellence in the classroom, and will play a key role in further developing English across the Trust. They will also contribute to our vibrant and wide‑ranging extra‑curricular programme, which includes House creative writing, a House Haiku competition, and a variety of public speaking forums that enrich students’ cultural capital and love of language.

Training and Development

We welcome applications from ECTs as well as those who wish to train to teach. Trainee teachers at WMAT schools receive a comprehensive, structured training programme, delivered by highly trained mentors and bespoke to the individual trainee’s needs.
