The Computer Science Department is led by enthusiastic, highly skilled and committed teachers, working with motivated, ambitious and capable students. All students study Computer Science in Key Stage 3, ensuring a strong foundation in computational thinking, programming and online safety. At Key Stage 4, students follow GCSE Computer Science and the Digital Information Technology BTEC Tech Award, providing both academic and vocational pathways that meet the needs and aspirations of all learners.

The department has a clear focus on high-quality teaching, collaborative planning and the use of industry-relevant software and resources. Lessons are designed to be engaging, challenging and inclusive, with a strong emphasis on real-world applications of computing and digital technologies.
