Who are we? In 2017, after more than ten years in the lift industry across Europe and Asia, Benoît Dupont noticed a system stuck in its ways where speed takes priority over quality and frontline teams remain invisible. With Jade Francine and Tristan Foureur, he founded WeMaintain to put technology, trust and people back at the heart of building maintenance. Their ambition: give technicians back their autonomy, rely on in-house IoT technology, and deliver a service designed for users and clients. Based in Paris, London, Singapore and Hong Kong, we maintain lifts, escalators, automatic doors and fire safety systems. With 300+ employees, we combine on-the-ground expertise with data-driven management to deliver high-performing, transparent, and sustainable maintenance. We don’t just maintain buildings. We transform how they’re operated.

Who we’re looking for: We are looking for a Lift Engineer to join our Field Operations team in North England / Yorkshire. In this role, you will play a key part in keeping lift systems running safely and reliably across our client sites while contributing to a new way of working where your field feedback helps improve our tools and how we operate.

Your day-to-day at WeMaintain: As a Lift Engineer, you will:

  • Perform planned maintenance and reactive repairs on lift systems across multiple sites
  • Diagnose technical issues and implement effective, safe solutions
  • Communicate clearly with clients on-site and deliver a high-quality service experience
  • Share insights from the field with our tech/operations teams to improve our processes and solutions
  • Keep accurate records and follow all safety standards, procedures and compliance requirements

What we’re looking for: You’re a great fit if you:

  • Have relevant training and/or equivalent experience in lift maintenance (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or similar)
  • Have solid experience in lift maintenance and repair
  • Are rigorous, detail-oriented, and enjoy solving problems
  • Communicate clearly, whether working independently or as part of a team
  • Take pride in doing great work and care about quality and safety

Bonus points if:

  • You have experience in a non-OEM environment or working across different lift brands
  • You’re comfortable working with digital tools / connected systems (e.g. smart building tech, IoT)
  • You bring a strong ownership mindset that helps you make decisions and move things forward

What success looks like: You consistently deliver strong results on maintenance quality, safety, uptime and response times. You collaborate effectively with clients, operations, and technical/engineering teams. You take ownership and move things forward with autonomy and a proactive mindset. You continuously improve ways of working and contribute to team success through feedback and best practice sharing.

At WeMaintain, we value diversity, encourage personal development, and are committed to inclusion. Whatever your background, story or identity, you are welcome to apply.
