Starting salary £50,696pa with progression to £53,953pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance).
Permanent contract. 37 hours per week (hybrid working).
We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic senior professional to guide the service functions within regulatory services. This is an exciting new opportunity to manage up to four professional officers, perfect for those experienced officers looking at stepping into management. The Team covers a specialist area of Environmental Health, either Food and Health and Safety, Environmental Protection or Private Sector Housing.
Key responsibilities:
- The Team Leader will support the Environmental Health Manager in the delivery of their area of specialism and is responsible for providing technical support to the team.
- The post holder will also undertake proactive and reactive work, responding to a range of service requests.
- The Team Leader has managerial responsibility for professional and technical staff, and the delivery of the work programme.
- To ensure that all service objectives, targets and service levels are understood, monitored and performed by all members of the team.
- Work in collaboration with other services, and senior management to ensure that services are joined up appropriately and are aligned to the achievement of the Council’s aims and objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and capable professional with proven experience in service delivery. A track record of seeing complex cases through to conclusion and seeking service improvements. You’ll bring excellent technical knowledge, a passion for your service area with excellent time management skills and an innovative approach.
This is a high-impact role at the heart of a prominent public-facing service, offering the opportunity to shape standards across the borough. You will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. This post is politically restricted.
