37 hours per week (4 days in the office/hybrid working)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Estate Services Support Officer to join our team.

At Welwyn and Hatfield Borough Council we work hard to improve the lives and wellbeing of our tenants and leaseholders through a sense of community where people feel safe in their neighbourhoods and which they can enjoy and take pride in.

The main focus of this role will be the management of administration tasks, taking customer calls and writing letters and emails within the office.You will be assisting the Housing Estates Services Manager and Neighbourhood team with onsite inspections and contract management across Welwyn and Hatfield.

You will be a motivated individual, customer focused and proactive.You will provide a high-quality administration service to support the delivery of the neighbourhood and estate management functions across the borough.

We are looking for someone who has an understanding of what great customer service involves and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience of working in the housing sector, helpdesk environment or a similar customer facing role with strong customer care skills.
  • Experience of delivering a high standard of customer service with demonstrable initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to prioritise their workload to meet deadlines but is flexible enough to meet the needs of the business.
  • Experience of raising and processing orders.
  • Experience of working collaboratively and building successful working relationships with key stakeholders, partners and customers.
  • A full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
