The predicted salary is between 28426 - 37464 £ per year.
Salary £28,426pa with progression to £37,464pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance). Career Grade Scheme with appointment level dependent on experience. 37 hours per week (hybrid working). Permanent contract.

As part of this vision, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Career Grade Assistant Planning Enforcement Officer to Planning Enforcement Officer. In this role, you’ll enjoy the challenge of working in a small but busy team, with opportunities to work on both rural and urban projects.
You will have primary responsibility for managing your own case load of applications and enforcement investigations, which will include:
- Dealing with complaints arising under planning legislation and the Estate Management Scheme
- Carrying out site inspections
- Dealing with requests, complaints and enquiries received
- Compiling and updating comprehensive enforcement records
- Attending appeals and court as and when required
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills and be able to work in an ordered and logical way. Along with front line customer service experience, you will need excellent IT skills, keep accurate data records, and be flexible to support the service. You will have a full UK driving licence and access to a car. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
