As part of this vision, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Enforcement Officer to Senior Planning Enforcement Officer. Responsibilities:
- Report to the Principal Planning Enforcement Officer and oversee another officer.
- Investigate and monitor alleged breaches of planning legislation relating to a variety of sites.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, applicants, agents, solicitors and the wider community to provide an efficient and responsive customer‑focused service.
- Converse at ease with members of the public and provide accurate spoken English advice.
Qualifications:
- Experience in planning enforcement and the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in staff management.
- Current driving licence and use of a car.
- Ability to work in both urban and rural environments.
This role is hybrid with the expectation of attending the office two days a week, dependent on service needs.
