Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council are looking to appoint a Human Resources and Organisational Development Support Officer to join our HR Team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Human Resources and Organisational Development team, with a particular focus on Learning & Development. This will include:
- Responding to routine enquiries through the shared inboxes
- Drafting correspondence
- Producing data
- Liaising with managers, employees and external trainers
- Maintaining employee data on multiple systems
- Producing purchase orders and processing invoices
- Managing year end
- Administration of the Learning Management System
- Booking and scheduling training courses
- Co-ordinating and facilitating the quarterly Corporate Induction for new starters
In this role you must have an eye for detail, be highly organised, and be an effective communicator both written and verbally. You must be adept at switching priorities and have excellent time management skills. You will at times deal with confidential matters, so discretion is very important.
Training on the systems we use will be provided so if you think you have the right transferable skills and qualities, we look forward to hearing from you. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
